Community Investments is committed to sustainable development in Vermont, preservation of the historic fabric of communities, and community-based planning. We assist businesses, nonprofits, municipalities and state governments with industrial recruitment and finance; Main Street and historic industrial site revitalization; policy research and analysis.
We work primarily in Northern New England assisting Main Streets, both in planning and implementation. Projects have included a feasibility study for a retail incubator on Main St. in Rochester, NH; recruitment of a new bank branch at the corner of “State and Main” in Windsor, VT; and saving historic mill buildings in the downtown in Claremont, NH.
Community Investments prides itself on researching and applying new concepts in economic development and job creation. The feasibility study for a high tech incubator in Essex, VT was the first effort of its kind in Vermont. CI’s current project to develop a “co-working” site in White River Junction, VT is the first of its kind in Eastern Vermont.
