Fundraising

Windsor, VT: CI has had a long-term relationship with the Town of Windsor, raising close to $3 million for economic development projects in the last six years. Highlights include:

WACP facility & Visitors' Center

• $800,000 from the Federal Highway Administration, Vermont's Agency of Transportation, and the Vermont Downtown Program for a Windsor Waypoint Interpretive Center and related streetscape improvements
• $500,000 for the Windsor Connection facility to house the Windsor Area Community Partnership (WACP)
• $300,000 for expansion of Simon Pearce Glassblowing
• $150,000 from Vermont's Agency of Human Services for start-of the Windsor
• over $100,000 for community development planning activities
• over $25,000 from the Vermont Arts Council and others for the Machine Tool Trail cultural heritage tourism promotion
• with Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission, secured $200,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency for a Brownfields Demonstration Grant to assess contaminated properties in Windsor and throughout Southern Windsor County

Northern Community Investment Corporation: NCIC has been a long-term client of CI.  CI assisted the organization in securing funding for a call center in Newport, VT and is providing ongoing assistance in projects being developed in Hardwick, VT.

Rockingham, VT: As Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee for Restoration of the Rockingham Meeting House, CI Principal Jill Michaels raised close to $200,000 for this important historic structure.  While providing consulting services to the Town, CI secured $350,000 for revitalization of the local community hospital.
